Hostages

Once you take a hostage, you have 15 minutes to begin the job. If you do not commence the job within this 15-minute window, you must release the hostage if they request it.

There are specific rules regarding the use of hostages in criminal activities:

1. Players are forbidden from using friends, gang associates, or non-playable characters (NPCs) as hostages. Instead, they are encouraged to find individuals organically who are not associated with them or their gang. If caught, both the perpetrator and the hostage may face additional charges.

2. On-duty law enforcement officers and doctors are off-limits as hostages. However, if they are off duty or engaged in a different job, they are considered civilians and may be used as hostages.

3. Hostages may be utilized to negotiate demands during robberies or other criminal acts. Each perpetrator is allowed one demand per hostage, with a maximum of two hostages (equating to two demands).

4. On-duty doctors are explicitly prohibited from being taken as hostages, ensuring their safety and maintaining the integrity of in-game roles and responsibilities. These rules help maintain balance and fairness within the game environment while fostering engaging and immersive roleplay scenarios.
