Legends Rising > County Rules > Injuries

Injuries

All players must roleplay their injuries when they occur. Whether injured in combat or other circumstances, players must realistically portray the extent and nature of their injuries to facilitate proper medical treatment. This includes providing detailed roleplay descriptions to doctors to ensure they can effectively address the injuries.

Additionally, the New Life Rule (NLR) comes into effect if a player is killed by another character. This rule introduces a foggy memory for the deceased player regarding the events leading to their death. However, players still need to roleplay their injuries for medical purposes.

If you sustain an injury, it falls into one of three severity categories: Minor, Major, or Severe.

MINOR INJURIES

  • These are superficial wounds or injuries that don't require invasive medical procedures.
  • They can be resolved with medical roleplay lasting less than 15 minutes.
  • Examples include horse kicks, light cuts, first-degree burns, bruises from blunt force trauma, minor concussions, or non-critical gunshot or stab wounds with no internal damage.
  • Recovery time: 1-2 in-game days.

MAJOR INJURIES

  • These wounds demand more extensive medical attention and may require invasive procedures.
  • Medical roleplay may take more than 15 minutes to complete.
  • Examples include: damage to extremities from animal attacks, falls from heights over 15 feet, second-degree burns, moderate concussions, or gunshot or stab wounds with internal damage not in critical condition.
  • Recovery time: 3-4 in-game days.

SEVERE INJURIES

  • The most severe wounds necessitate thorough medical attention, potentially lasting over 30 minutes.
  • They may require repeated check-ups or aftercare by medical professionals.
  • Examples include broken bones, loss of limbs, major concussions affecting bodily function, third-degree burns, critical gunshot or stab wounds with internal damage, or life-threatening situations.
  • Recovery time: 4-5 in-game days.

TUBERCULOSIS | TB

  • There was no reliable treatment for tuberculosis in 1890 and will consider as PERMA DEATH.

Failure to roleplay medical situations may result in doctors being unaware of the player's condition, potentially leading to incorrect assumptions about the player's status, including being presumed dead or perma-death. Therefore, consistent and thorough roleplay of injuries is crucial for maintaining immersion and facilitating proper medical treatment within the game.
